For the Gravy

    • Paneer (cubed) – 250g
    • Butter – 2 tbsp
    • Oil – 1 tbsp
    • Onion (chopped) – 2 medium-sized
    • Cashew nuts – 10-12 (soaked in warm water)
    • Tomato (pureed) – 3 large
    • Green chili – 1 (optional, slit)
    • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
    • Yogurt (whisked) – 2 tbsp
    • Fresh cream – 3 tbsp
    • Milk – ½ cup
    • Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
    • Garam masala – ½ tsp
    • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
    • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
    • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
    • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
    • Fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) – 1 tsp (crushed)
    • Salt – to taste

For Garnishing:

    • Fresh coriander leaves – chopped
    • Almond slivers or cashews – for decoration

Prepare Cashew Paste

Blend the soaked cashew nuts with 2-3 tbsp of water to make a smooth paste. Set aside.

Step 2: Sauté the Paneer

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Lightly fry the paneer cubes until golden. (Optional: soak fried paneer in warm water for 5 minutes to keep them soft.)
